…introducing;
FULL NAME: Charlie Denver Wellesley
AGE: Thirty-Three
DATE OF BIRTH: 12 December, 1975
LOCATION: Boston, Massachusetts
PROFESSION: Veterinarian, Zoological Feline Medicine, Franklin Park Zoo
STEREOTYPE: The Token Gay Guy
MOTHER: Annette Wellesley
FATHER: Damien Wellesley
SIBLINGS: Charlotte "Mad" Wellesley, Kurt "New" Wellesley
SIGNIFICANT OTHER: Oliver "Noll" Ward
HEIGHT/BUILD: 6' , Athletic
EYE COLOR: Hazel

CHARACTER: It seemed as though Chuck always knew that he was gay. Like one day, when he was barely old enough to have such thoughts, a light came on inside that said 'Hey, that guy is hot!' and it stuck with him. Not that he's ever been the stereotypical "fag". On the contrary, most folks wouldn't know his sexual preference if not for his penchant for hand-holding. For the most part they just look at him as a nice guy with a fondness for animals and a highly flirtatious personality which he extends upon everyone, regardless of gender.
…dear proust;
What is your most marked characteristic?
My dashing good looks, of course. And perhaps my vocabulary. My Noll writes these books that are ever so risque, and it's inspired me to read other authors in the genre. Plus, I was always curious as to why women like romance novels so much. For some reason I've been drawn to the historical ones, and it's got me saying phrases that are totally inappropriate in today's society. Why don't people say hell's bells anymore? And calling some man a rake sounds far better to me than saying he's a player.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

When and where were you happiest?

What is your greatest regret?
That I'm not really Mom & Dad's. I know it's silly- and being adopted doesn't mean they love me (or my siblings) any less- but I also know that Mom really wanted to experience that whole "wonders of birth" bonding thing. I'm just sorry I wasn't able to do that for her. Although if you ask me, she got the better end of the deal. I've heard these descriptions about pregnancy and birthing and the whole watermelons and pea-hole thing. And maybe I'm a little sorry that I'm not giving her any grand-babies. Maybe I'll find someone to play surrogate mother for Noll and I someday. Or maybe we'll adopt or something.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

What is your most treasured possession?

Where would you like to live?

What is your greatest fear?

What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
Darling, haven't you heard? I'm perfect.

What is the trait you most deplore in others?
Frankly, it bugs the fuck out of me when someone talks down about themselves. Be proud of who you are. Don't apologize for being anything but yourself. You're just the way God made you and they say God doesn't make mistakes. Granted, they say a lot of things, but this is one I happen to agree with.

What do you consider the most overrated virtue?

What is your greatest extravagance?

What is your favorite journey?

What is it that you most dislike?

What is the quality you most like in a man?

What is the quality you most like in a woman?

What do you most value in your friends?

If you were to come back as a person or thing, what do you think it would be?

If you could choose what to come back as, what would it be?
A gay penguin. What, you thought I'd choose to be straight? I read this story about a zoo in Germany- a pair of straight penguins rejected an egg and because the keepers were concerned it was going to die they gave it to the gay couple, who were delighted and raised it as their own. And then there was the great story from this Chinese zoo about a gay couple who kept trying to steal the eggs from male/female pairs by switching them with rocks. They were given a pair of eggs for themselves and were proved to be the best parents in the zoo.

How would you like to die?
I wouldn't, thank you.
…miscellaneous;
☼ Specializes in large feline medicine, and works with the big cats at Franklin Park Zoo.

☼ Currently owns a pair of sugar gliders named Frank and Dean.

☼ Loves big band music, if the names of his pets are any indication.

☼ Rides horses, and spends every other summer on a ranch in Wyoming, playing cowboy.

☼ Hated Brokeback Mountain, thank you very much- and is quite tired of the references.
